Mrs. Martinez' class started their day on Tuesday with a reader's theater where students read their parts about a flock of turkeys going to court to try to ban eating turkeys on Thanksgiving. Then, they wrote a story where they were turkeys and had to convince others not to eat them. After that, everyone used play doh to make their own turkey. Gobble, gobble! Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃

The WSESD and the Special Education Parent Advisory Committee sponsored its 8th annual "Make a Difference" Awards at WSCC on Friday night, June 2. This special event recognizes the outstanding people, agencies, and businesses throughout Lake, Mason, and Oceana County that have significantly and positively impacted the education and success of students with special needs. One of our special education teachers and a support staff member received awards and returned home with a well-deserved engraved plaque. Congratulations to both Special Education Teacher Michelle Przekop and our District Special Education Coordinator Audrey Aebig!
